playground moms kids

Isn’t it easier to have a playdate at the playground than at home?
I get a little anxious at the thought of having a playdate at my house. I’ve had a couple of good ones but looking back, I think a lot of them stressed me out. Straightening up only to have a mess again, people being bored or fussy, people jumping on my couch (with dirty socks), one sibling screwing it up for the other sibling, etc…so I’m just wondering, wouldn’t it be easier to just have it at a playground? Kids can be as active as they like, there’s plenty of people to play with, no mess for a busy mom to clean up, furniture stays intact…why do people like home playdates so much? It just seems more practical to hold them at a playground.
Another good place would be a McDonald’s that has a play place. They little ones can each get a happy meal and then play together. It’s inexpensive and no mess to clean up after! Plus you don’t need to worry about rain, sunscreen, mosquitoes, etc.
