What do you tell a child when their aunt kills herself?
My step-brother and sister found out that their moms brothers wife killed her self how and what do the tell them. ages 10 and 11
I am their Father and ,their mother has already told them that their aunt had done this! She did this with no empathy for my two children,but having gone through a similar situation as a child I know they could be confused and carry this for the rest of their lives.Any and all advice to help me talk to and explain this to my two wonderful kids would be DEEPLY APPRECIATED!!! They have three older siblings but I don’t want them to have to answer such a question for their siblings. Their Mother and I are divorced and do not live together but only several short miles apart,so their stepmother and were there in only a few minutes ,yet I get the feeling that she waited until I got there to just put it out to my kids this way to see how I can handle this? The main thing here is mental (proper&healthy) wellness my of children !!!
