Other single moms? How to deal when baby is with dad for the weekend?
my child is 6 months old and I am happy his dad is choosing to be involved. He decided to marry another women about 2 months ago(we broke up during my pregnancy) and my son is going to spend the weekend with them and I am freakin out! I keep having all theses horrible scernios running thourgh my head. He did watch the baby while I worked for 3 months but babies change fast. I know deep down everything will be okay . But also Im freakin out about the idea of that women holding my baby and my baby sleeping in bed with THEM! I need coping skills! please help
I completely understand! It’s so hard, especially when they are so little and, well…you’re the MOMMY!!
You just have to make up a chant or something to repeat over and over!! He’ll be ok, it’s for the best.
Try to remember that it is in the best interest of your child to have a good and loving relationship with dad and his mate. Your ex and you have to support each other and be united for your child. Some day you will meet someone and need your ex’s support.
Clear the horrible scenarios out, trust he will take care of your child and know he will call if there is any need.
