Tracy, I agree with you. I think both my mom and his would expect both of us to be included.

The children’s spouses are the mother’s children in law — by marriage they have become like adopted children. So, their birthstones should be included as well.

I received a birthstone bracelet for Christmas a few years ago. It included my children, my son in law and my grandchildren. I would have been hurt if my son in law and grandchildren had not been included!
